The Rockford Area Coin Club RACC meets monthly at the Loves Park Library, 6340 N. Second St. in Loves Park, just
north of Rockford, every third Thursday, now at 6:30pm.

Meetings feature fellowship and monthly auctions, plus show-and-tell, a numismatic quiz, old and new business,
a numismatic prize attendance drawing for all members and more. We feature coins, paper money and exonumia. You
do not have to be a member to bid in our auctions. Members may offer up to 10 items per auction, with no fee charged.
YOU ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND ANY MEETING! There is no charge to attend meetings as a guest. Please feel free to
bring items for show-and-tell. We have a summer picnic and holiday banquet, with good food, fun, games, bingo,
etc, plus prizes for all. Dues are only $10 per year.
If you are coming via the interstate, exit I-90 at Riverside, go west to North Second and turn right/north.
If you cross the river on Riverside, you've gone too far! North Second is the major north/south road on the east
side of the river in Rockford/Loves Park. It turns into 251 on the north side of town. If you are coming from the
south, go up to State St (the major east/west road,which crosses the river), and turn north on 2nd St, just a few
blocks east of the river. The Loves Park Library is on the west side of North Second, several blocks north of Riverside.
There are lots of fast food resturantants in the area.
You are invited to attend any meetings.
COIN SHOWS:
We have two coin shows annually (Free Door prizes and Free Admission), each featuring about 55 tables
of coin dealers:
January 25, 2009 105th Semi-Annual Show, Holiday Inn, Rockford, Hours: 9am-4pm. Exit I-90 west at State
Street, first light turn right/north. Park on the west side, enter at 'Banquet' south-west corner entrance.
September ??, 2009 104th Semi-Annual Show, Holiday Inn, Rockford.

Shows open to the public at 9am. Due to distances traveled, some dealers start packing up about 2 pm, many by
3, and the show is mostly empty by 4 pm. You should plan to arrive before 1pm to view all the tables. At this time
we do not have displays, only the coin bourse of dealers offering to buy and sell coins and other small collectibles.
Mostly coins, but you will find US and World paper money, world coins, tokens, medals, watches and other small
antiques, plus coin supplies and books. We have had dealers attend from Texas! Most of our dealers are from Illinois,
Wisconsin and Iowa.
SELLING? If you have items to sell, be sure to bring them along. Our dealers always want to buy!

Picnic: Aug. 3, 2008 Alpine Park shelter, south of State St on Alpine (bring a dish to pass). Club will
furnish chicken and ham, lemonade and coffee. Bring the whole family and your table service. Food, bingo, lots
of kids games, prizes, more!
Christmas Party: Dec. 13th, 2008, Lithuanian Club. All you can eat, plus bingo and prizes for all. Advance
reservations required.

Rockford Area Coin Club Exonumia:
Our long term president and founder, Ralph Winquist, passed away suddenly in 1998. We have issued an elongated
cent in his memory. It pictures an eagle with spread wings, with a background of coins, the outline of the state
of Illinois, 1928-1998 Memoriam, etc. Elongated on 1998 cents, they are available for $1 each, plus a SASE to Rich
